CAPIOX® FX Oxygenators with Integrated Arterial Filters Now Manufactured in the USA
ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN – January 26, 2015 – Terumo Cardiovascular Group (Terumo CV Group)announces the expansion of its Elkton, Maryland, manufacturing facility to include CAPIOX® FX Oxygenators with Integrated Arterial Filters. Now, all three CAPIOX oxygenator families are manufactured in the USA – CAPIOX FX, CAPIOX RX, and CAPIOX SX Oxygenators.
Terumo also will continue to produce CAPIOX FX Oxygenators in Ashitaka, Japan. "Terumo's global, multi-site manufacturing strategy helps to ensure consistent oxygenator supply and rapid response to customer needs," says Mark Lincoln, Vice President of Global Operations. "Terumo's Elkton, Maryland, facility has established a reputation as an industry leader in oxygenator development and manufacturing. This is the same high quality that customers can expect from all Terumo oxygenators, regardless of manufacturing location."
The CAPIOX FX Family of Oxygenators features a fully integrated arterial filter with self-venting technology. With low priming volume, high gas exchange and low pressure drop, the oxygenators are optimally balanced for superb performance.
